The Spanish Do named after the province or its capital lies at the middle sea coast Costa Blanca (white coast) in the Levant in the region Valencia. White kinds are the Merseguera as well as Moscatel Romano Muscat this primarily (' Alexandrie), Macabeo, Airén and in small quantities of also Chardonnay and even Riesling.
This one is won and gespritete red wine Fondillón which is partly produced in a Solera method at least in the barrel matures for eight years and 16 to 18% alcohol content shows a speciality from Monastrell (and Garnacha). This is produced as a sweet wine or as Rancio. Furthermore a pure white wine which becomes aufgespritet on 15% alcohol content is produced by very sweet, overripe grapes of the kind of Moscatel Romano.
